Jason West provides . . .
Mental Sports Performance Coaching
Without confidence and concentration, the likelihood of athletic success is nil - regardless of talent level. Jason provides tools, techniques, and strategies to help regulate emotions so that athletes are able to maximize their performance and reach their potential. His curriculum focuses on developing skills and habits to build confidence and concentration necessary for athletic success.
Parent Coaching
Often times, parents have difficulty judging their child’s athletic talent level. Overestimating talent can be detrimental to a child’s overall success later in life because they are let down when they don’t reach their parents’ unreachable goals. Underestimating talent can lead to missed opportunities. Jason helps parents set reasonable expectations and develop a long-term plan for maximizing their child’s ability.
Private Basketball Training
Jason provides individual training sessions for boys and girls ages 11 and up. He has access to numerous gyms in Fort Worth and will implement a workable training program based on the player’s skill level. He also works with teams to help coaches and players develop game plans based on the team’s skill sets.
Public Speaking
In addition to being a public address announcer at basketball, volleyball, football and baseball events, Jason also speaks to small and large groups on an array of topics related to positive mindset, effective communication skills using anecdotes from his legal and coaching career. He is willing to speak on any subject matter, however, as he was Texas UIL State Champion in Impromptu Speaking.
NIL and Scholarship Negotiations
The ability for student athletes to be compensated for use of their Name, Image, and Likeness has changed the landscape of youth sports and has affected how colleges handle athletic scholarships. The amount, availability, and length of athletic scholarships are more performance based and these terms should be negotiated and clearly spelled out. Jason can help you negotiate NIL issues, athletic scholarship contracts, and other sports related contracts that are continuing to emerge in youth athletics.
Mentorship to Young Lawyers
Navigating the practice of law during a lawyer’s formative years can be scary and overwhelming. Jason has mentored countless young lawyers who have flourished in their careers while maintaining their sanity. He has also worked with the Texas Lawyer’s Assistance Program (TLAP) to help struggling lawyers.
